Postcards from Singapore

We have taken the liking to tagging along his parents for their weekly dates. He absolutely loves them because his dad is the primary ideas generator (that every household needs, and every girl appreciates). Given his dad's role, he does not have to come up with ideas where to bring me (aka, don't need to headache!)

Last week, we tagged along and followed them for breakfast, gai gai and then lunch. It was a fun morning and afternoon out and his dad brought us to places that we had not even known before. It was quite refreshing to play tourists in our own country.

The postcards below were taken from Sembawang park. You would not have known that this place even existed and it's actually so scenic!

There was also a rustic restaurant that looked like it belonged to a movie set, cast amidst the lush greenery.

There was a little part like a short board walk that led to a viewing point where you could look at ships that docked. Previously, I only thought ships only docked at say, Keppel or HarbourFront but I was so wrong.

Sembawang Park offered water sports too, which I have always been keen to do. The last time we did water sports it was at Kallang and I had thought that it was the only place in Singapore that offered water sports.

I really enjoy his folks' company - they are such a great duo to be around. They are always supportive and respectful to each other when they interact, but also so fun and light hearted at the same time. It's the vibe that I can't quite describe, but the same vibe which I hope that me and him would have many years down the road. Thankful that he brings me to hang out and be around his parents - a company that I truly enjoy being with, at the same time, a company that I can look up to have a vision for the type of relationship I want in the future.
